Give the Gift of
Knowledge and Hope

Donate copies of Complete Freedom from Opioid Addiction to jails, recovery homes, and treatment programs — funding access to the help that can change someone’s life.

Your gift goes directly to people who need this the most

A note from Dr. Coleman

If you’ve been affected by someone with opioid addiction, or even lost someone to this disease, I want you to know that I understand grief at a level that goes beyond clinical experience. Some of the thousands of patients I’ve cared for over four decades did not make it. The weight of that stays with you.

If you’re here because someone you loved is gone — thank you for still caring. Your impulse to turn your grief into something that helps others is one of the most generous things a human being can do.

And if you’re here simply because you believe in this work, because you want someone in a jail cell or a halfway house or a waiting room to have access to honest, compassionate, science-based information — thank you.

Every donated book goes somewhere real. To a person who may never have been able to afford it. Who may have no one in their corner. Who may be, right now, at the very beginning of deciding whether recovery is possible for them. That person deserves to hold this book.

Where Donated Books Go

Jails & Correctional Facilities

People incarcerated for addiction-related offenses often have no access to recovery resources. These books reach them at a critical turning point.

Recovery & Halfway Houses

Oxford Houses, sober living residences, and transitional housing — placed in community libraries where residents can access them throughout their stay.

Nonprofit Treatment Programs

Community-funded clinics and nonprofit treatment providers serving uninsured and underinsured patients who can’t afford books.

Drug Courts

Court-mandated participants benefit enormously from having educational resources that help them understand their treatment and build motivation.

Recovery Community Organizations

Peer-run recovery organizations, community centers, and advocacy groups that serve people in all stages of recovery.

Individuals Who Can’t Afford Their Own Copy

Want to direct your donation to a particular individual? Reach out, and Dr. Coleman will work with you to place the books exactly where you intend.

“It’s a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that none of us have to do it alone.”

Every Book Is Someone’s Beginning

You may never meet the person who reads the book you donate. But the information inside it — written honestly, from lived experience — could be the thing that changes their mind about whether recovery is possible.
